III. Overview
This program serves as a collaborative learning and sharing initiative, integrating cultural experiences for both Chinese and international students in the fields of civil engineering and advanced materials. It is designed to foster a profound understanding of civil engineering and the pivotal role of scientific and technological innovation within this discipline. Through a diverse range of activities such as academic reports, research field trips, joint study sessions, group discussions, and direct teacher-student interactions, students are provided with rich learning opportunities.
Moreover, this activity has several important objectives. It aims to kindle international students' interest in and comprehension of Chinese culture, expand students' global perspectives, enhance their cross-cultural communication capabilities, and further strengthen the internationalization process of the university.

June 18th-24th, 2025 (7 days) Nanning, Guangxi, China
V. Number of Participants Invited
The summer camp does not charge any registration fees and will provide uniform airport pickup and drop-off, accommodation, meals and basic accident insurance covering medical emergencies and injuries during official activities. Participants (students and teachers) are responsible for passport/visa fees, round-trip airfare, and other transportation costs. Optional extended insurance (e.g., for personal travel delays, pre-existing medical conditions, or loss of personal belongings) during the trip should be arranged by participants individually.
Students who choose to participate at their own expense will be responsible for the costs of passport and visa processing, round-trip airfare, insurance, and food and accommodation during their stay in China.
To ensure effective organization and supervision, the following guidelines apply:
Participant Limit: Each university may nominate a maximum of six students for the program.
Team Leadership Requirement: For groups consisting of three or more students, one teacher must be designated as the team leader to oversee the group's activities and ensure smooth coordination.
These measures aim to maintain a structured and well-managed environment for all participants.
VI. Requirements for Participants
This summer camp is designed to attract full-time undergraduate students, particularly seniors and juniors, who are majoring in civil engineering and water conservancy engineering. We especially welcome those who are considering pursuing a master's degree at Guangxi University. To ensure a productive and harmonious experience, participants must meet the following criteria:
i. Positive Attitude and Health: Applicants should be in good health and maintain a friendly attitude towards other countries and cultures.
Candidates must have no criminal record and avoid any detrimental habits.
ii. Cultural Sensitivity: Participants are expected to respect local customs, exhibit good behavior, and uphold strong moral character.
iii. Compliance and Cooperation: Attendees must adhere to Chinese laws and regulations, as well as the specific management rules of Guangxi University, and accept the unified management of the summer camp.
iv. Communication and Teamwork: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential. Proficiency in either English or Chinese is required to facilitate interaction.
These criteria aim to create a conducive environment for learning, cultural exchange, and personal growth during the summer camp.
